Homemade Recipe to Clean Jewellery
Preparation time
- Optional Step
- 4 Tablespoons Hydrogen Peroxide or enough to cover the jewellery
- The simple cleaning step
- 1 Tablespoon of dish washing liquid
- 250ml cold water
- Pick out any obvious dirt with a toothpick.
- Concentrate on the areas underneath the stone and in between any design detail.
- This is an optional step:
- Add the hydrogen peroxide to a shot glass.
- Allow the rings to sit in the mixture for 5 minutes, agitating with a tooth pick every minute or so.
- Lift the rings out into a stainless steel pot.
- Add the rings, cold water and dish washing liquid.
- Bring the pot to a simmer for 10 minutes.
- Lift the rings with a tooth pick and allow them to cool and drain on kitchen paper.
- Dry with a serviette and enjoy your sparkling jewellery.
