Manisha's Green Chutney Recipe

- ½ large bunch coriander (60g)
- ¼ bunch mint (30g, no stalks)
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 cm piece of fresh ginger
- 1 small teaspoon green chili, or to taste
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon ground coriander
- Salt to taste
- Optional: a pinch of Hing
- Cold water to thin the sauce
- Blend all the ingredients so that they amalgamate.
- You may need a splash of water to help the mixture on its way, depending on your blender.
- Once the ingredients are amalgamated, add a little water at a time to achieve the desired consistency.
- The green chutney should be the consistency of shop-bought mint sauce.
Serving ideas:
Use as a dip for popadoms, samosas, pakora or in a sandwich.
