Burger Relish Recipe
I love making different sauces for meals that we have on repeat and a burger can be transformed with a simple dollop of something tasty. This burger recipe was described by my 81-year-old mother-in-law (who styled this photo) ‘as a very posh and delicious burger sauce’. Any sauce that gets that kind of praise should be made and tasted.
It is so simple to chop and stir together, I have made it with vegan mayonnaise for a family with egg allergies and that was equally delicious. Hellman’s is my go-to mayo and their vegan mayo is excellent. You almost can’t taste the difference good!
This made enough sauce for 4 burgers you just want a pink sweep over one side of your burger roll and a dollop on your patty. You can double the sauce if you want to drench your burger in this deliciousness.
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Hellmans mayonnaise (or your favourite)
- 1 gherkin chopped into small cubes
- ¼ red onion, finely diced
- 1 level tablespoon dried dill
- Mix together and enjoy
Vegan Hellmans is delicious in this recipe, or you can use you favourite vegan mayo.
