Homemade Mixed Seeds and Fruit
This year it has been difficult to find ready mixed seed and dried fruit packets, so I have mixed my own using a few store cupboard ingredients:
125 ml pumpkin seeds
62.5 ml linseeds
62.5 ml dried fruit a mix of your choice cranberries, blueberries, raisins or your favourite dried fruit
You can of course increase or decrease the amounts you use of each ingredient.
We keep a jar filled to top up Greek yoghurt, I pop a sprinkling on my banana muffins before baking and it can add a wonderful topping to a soda bread too. This would also make a lovely vegan friendly edible gift.
The seeds are very healthy, feeding your body on a micro nutrient level and are an easy way to add crunch and flavour to a dish.
