Elderflower Drizzle Cake

A delicious twist on a Lemon Drizzle Cake.

Make your cake as usual, using my delicious and quick Lemon Drizzle cake recipe.

For the Elderflower drizzle mix 100ml of Elderflower Cordial neat, thoroughly with the juice of 1 lemon and 1 tablespoon of caster sugar, set aside until your cake is ready.

When the cake is cooked, pierce the cooked hot cake with a skewer and spoon over the Elderflower Cordial and lemon juice mixture.

Allow this to seep into the hot cake.

That is it, you have made an Elderflower Drizzle cake.

The cake is not overly sweet as you may imagine from using neat cordial and it has a wonderful light after-taste of Elderflower.

It makes for a great talking point and different cake to add to your repertoire.
